An upbeat Radiohead meets a smoother Sigur Ros . Zola Blood has been my new musical discovery from 2018, one I couldn't tear myself away from for what every track in Infinite Games has to offer. This may have been one of the more recent albums I have fancied end-to-end, its whole as a sum of parts, and embracing its entirety - since Tourist (Athlete), 2005.

Zola Blood is a London based band and their album was not even available in the US. Arguably nobody's buying them here - and a physical CD cost me an arm and eternity to ship across the pond. This is all the electronic, bass, trance, soul and sonic grace woven into a space shuttle that takes you to Planet Saturn (or Zorn if you choose). Escapism is a reality that you can immerse in, and that quest continued into a burst cycle on Pandora and Spotify. And so I embarked upon a discovery of Roger Shah (Sunlounger), Blank and Jones, Ulrich Schnauss, Eastern Dawn and Karunesh thereafter - Germany and intrepid electronic win the mood.

Hear them once but third time's the charm.
